THE APPLICANT MOST RESPECTFULLY STATES AS FOLLOWS:

That the Applicant is the legally wedded wife of the Respondent. The marriage between the Applicant and the Respondent was solemnized on [Date] as per Hindu customs and rites at [Place].

That after the marriage, the Applicant started residing with the Respondent at their matrimonial home and discharged all her marital duties with sincerity and dedication.

That the Respondent is a Government servant employed as an Indian Engineering Services (IES) Officer and is presently posted at Mumbai, earning a handsome monthly salary of over ₹1,25,000/- (approx.), besides other government allowances and benefits.

That repeated attempts for reconciliation and requests for financial support by the Applicant were ignored and even responded to with cruelty and indifference by the Respondent.

That the Applicant is living in a state of financial hardship and is unable to meet her basic necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical expenses, due to the Respondent's neglect and refusal to maintain her.

That under Section 125 of the Cr.P.C., every person having sufficient means is legally bound to maintain his wife, if she is unable to maintain herself, and the Respondent has grossly failed in fulfilling his legal and moral obligations.
PRAYER
In view of the above facts and circumstances, the Applicant most respectfully prays that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to:

Direct the Respondent to pay a monthly maintenance of ₹25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand Only) or any other amount deemed just and proper by this Hon’ble Court;
